How to Modify Bookings

Through the CarerNest App

  1. Open the App: Launch the CarerNest mobile app
  2. Go to Bookings: Tap on "My Bookings" in the bottom navigation
  3. Select Booking: Find and tap on the booking you want to modify
  4. Choose Action: Tap "Modify Booking" and select your desired change
  5. Confirm Changes: Review and confirm your modifications

Through the Website

  1. Log In: Sign in to your CarerNest account
  2. Dashboard: Go to your account dashboard
  3. My Bookings: Click on "My Bookings" in the sidebar
  4. Edit Booking: Click "Edit" next to the booking you want to change
  5. Make Changes: Update the details and save your changes

Important Notice

All booking modifications are subject to carer availability and our cancellation policy. Changes made with less than 24 hours notice may incur fees.

Rescheduling

Change the date or time of your booking:

  • Same Week: Usually no additional fees if 24+ hours notice
  • Different Week: Subject to carer availability
  • Time Changes: Must fit within carer's available hours
  • Emergency Reschedule: Additional fees may apply

Duration Changes

Extend or reduce the length of your care session:

  • Extending Care: Additional hours charged at the same rate
  • Reducing Care: Minimum 2-hour booking requirement
  • Same-Day Extensions: Subject to carer availability
  • Live-in Care: Minimum 24-hour notice for changes

Service Type Changes

Modify the type of care being provided:

  • Personal Care to Companionship: Rate may decrease
  • Companionship to Personal Care: Carer must be qualified
  • Specialized Care: May require different carer
  • Medical Support: Requires qualified healthcare professional

Emergency Cancellations

Emergency cancellations are reviewed case-by-case and may be exempt from standard fees.

If your carer cannot accommodate the new time:

  • Rate Matching: We try to match your current rate
  • Profile Matching: Find carers with similar experience
  • Emergency Cover: Urgent arrangements within 2 hours

How Refunds Work
